Infertility

I was going to print this today and be done with it but the place where I get my prints done closes early on Saturdays.  I wasn't planning on posting this until Monday after I turned it in but I figured I could use a day to let it sit and perhaps get a few critiques/comments. That way, if I decide to change anything I can get up early on Monday before I print and make the last minute corrections. So, that being said, Please comment!

I think this is an absolutely beautiful painting. I can feel the pain and mourning in her expression and the way she stands. It seems I can feel what she is feeling. Wonderful job. :)

Beautiful!... She looks so lost, alone and full of unbearable pain. She wanders through the wheat still carrying a vase of dead flowers, will her mourning ever end? I can feel her pain.

Stephen I think that this is one of my very favorite pieces that you have EVER done! It is beautiful! I love the hidden meaning behind the picture...seriously one of my very favorites! I don't think I would change anything about it.

Overall, looks fantastic! The only things I could even possibly suggest are overly nit-picky stuff. I might recommend somehow visually toning down the sky. It feels just a hair "visually-contrasty" with the girl. You could maybe tone down the color saturation or the level of detail (both which could emphasize the atmospheric perspective). The over is to remark about how large the heads of the grain are. Though with the piece being more conceptual, such liberties are often appropriate.

Thanks to everyone for the awesome comments! I especially appreciate those that gave critiques. I have made a few minor changes although I doubt anyone would ever notice. This was a fun piece!

I like how the flowers in the vase look like ovaries and a uterus...this is incredible.
