Digital Figure Drawings

I'm in a figure drawing class this semester and on a couple occasions I brought my wacom tablet with me to class to draw with. It's a really different experience drawing from life digitally but I think it's a lot of fun.

those are great...how did the instructor take you doing your drawings digitally? what a great way to bridge the gap between digital art and traditional art! LOVE it!!! :)

The instructor actually encouraged it at the beginning of the semester. He said as long as it wasn't every single class period that it was fine. I've only done it twice because I draw so much digitally anyway that being able to draw traditionally in figure drawing class is a nice break from the norm for me haha.

to use wacom drawing? is there a software download needed?

Yes drawing software is needed. When you purchase a Wacom tablet new it generally comes with some sort of basic drawing/painting software such as Corel Sketchpad. Most people in the industry use Photoshop which is an Adobe product that you have to purchase separately.
